William (Billy) King

Billy King is a Financial Advisor with Commonwealth Capital Management, bringing more than two decades of experience in banking, investments, and financial services to his work with individuals and families.

Billy takes a relationship-driven approach to financial advice, helping clients make thoughtful decisions about investments, retirement planning, and their broader financial lives. He believes good financial advice begins with understanding each client’s goals, concerns, family, and priorities; along with developing a strategy around what matters most to them.

​

Billy began his financial services career in the Cayman Islands, where he grew up, working with Bank of Bermuda and later Butterfield Bank as an Investment Officer. After relocating to the United States, he continued his career in financial services and wealth management, most recently spending more than a decade with Truist and its predecessor organizations serving clients throughout the Louisville area.

Billy joined Commonwealth Capital Management to offer clients a more personalized wealth management experience, with access to a broad range of investment solutions, financial planning resources, and technology through CCM and its affiliation with Cetera.

 

Billy earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Sam Houston State University.

Outside the office, Billy and his wife have made Louisville home and are raising their teenage son. Much of their family time revolves around their son’s hockey and other activities, along with their two dogs and two cats. Billy enjoys traveling, boating, music, spending time outdoors, and returning to Grand Cayman whenever he gets the opportunity.

Above all, Billy views financial advising as a relationship business. His goal is to be someone clients know well, trust, and feel comfortable turning to through the many financial decisions and transitions that come with life.
