His strengths are managing investment and market risks for individual investors and small businesses. He uses a five step plan to manage the risks of investing.
1. Determine if the market will support higher prices by using various indicators.
2. Determine which sectors (industries) appear to be most favorable and can support higher prices.
3. Use fundamental research from sources such as Standard & Poor's and Bear Stearns to help select companies.
4. From the list of those selected companies, use technical analysis to help choose suitable stocks.
5. Manage the trade and follow up. Before committing your money, know what to do when things go right. Know what to do when things go wrong. Have a plan and stick to it.
Nobody has a crystal ball. Nobody knows the future. The objective of using the five step plan is to try and put as many odds of being successful as possible in your favor and hedge risks with planning.
