Attended Florida State University and graduated in 2002 earning Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Criminology. He furthered his studies by completing coursework for a Masters degree in Political Science while working with a U.S. Senator’s Office as State Scheduler and an assistant to the State Director for the Senator. In 2004, he satisfied the requirements to attain the series 7 securities license, series 66 investment advisor license, and life insurance license. Since 2004 he has worked at Commonwealth Captial Management, LLC in Louisville Kentucky as a Registered Representative of Walnut Street Securities, Inc. and during 2007 began assisting in duties involving supervision/compliance matters with satellite offices after attaining the series 24 General Securities Principal license. In 2008 Barrett completed an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning through Bellarmine University.

            When working with clients Barrett enjoys the ability to not only create plans to achieve their financial goals, but also assisting the client in better comprehending the fundamentals of their own investments. During his tine away from the office he takes pleasure in spending time with his wife and daughters, traveling, cuisine, and the occasional round of golf. Barrett is a member of the World Affairs Council of KY and Southern Indiana (WACA) and Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL).
